But this time she only smiled.
As you might have noticed, I haven’t posted for a few days—the obvious excuse being that I’m working on yet another video.
(Actually, I’m working on three. I’m editing a summer camp promo video—for a wad of cash—and I’m in serious pre-production with two others—one short film based on the beloved classic NES game Mike Tyson’s punchout and one *gasp* feature length production.)
But, as you might have noticed, being busy with video stuff has never stopped me from posting before. Sure, those posts usually end up being extremely short and, well, crappy, but at least I invariably gave you, my faithful reader, something to look at.
So no, video stuff was not to blame this time.
The culprit was the class presentation of my blog that I mentioned in my last post.
It was terrible.
I completely blanked for about a minute in front of the whole class, and I was so embarrassed that I swore to never have anything to do with this stupid blog again.
No, the presentation went fine, and I shouldn’t swear.
The real reason is that my presentation basically marked the end of any connection between this blog and any grade I might get for class. You see, the manic pace at which I was cranking out posts was not out of any perceived daily obligation to my readers. Rather, it was because Master A was constantly cracking his whip and kicking me in the butt, telling me I’d better get posting or they’d put me in the box.
Well, the semester is nearly done, and it's out of my hands--which means that whatever I post now is strictly for my (and your) enjoyment. (Really, it's been that way all along, but I couldn't let on because typically Master A doesn't want you enjoying yourself.)
So what does that mean for You Never Can Tell with Bees.
Well, I think it’s safe to say that this blog will pretty much stay the same, just the frequency of the posts will decline a little.
Or a lot.
In fact, now that I think about it, there is a good possibility that this could be the last post ever.
(Cue the sentimental montage, with posts and images fading in and out, including the oft heralded picture of Lazar wolf, numerous Lucas and Wiki bashing posts, some inane, and sometimes outright deceitful bee references, and, of course, the sacred site itself.)

Last post ever. NOOOOOOOOOOOOO. What will I do with my lonely nights. I think I should at least leave a witty comment or at least a cool link.....thinking....

Yes perfect.

I'm glad you were kidding about that "blanking out for a whole minute in front of the class" thing with your presentation, because the opposite was very true. You were clear and articulate and did a good job.
Oh, and please don't give up entirely on the bees. You'd be missed far too much.
OK, I Googled your title of this post, just to get the reference, and came up blank. (It's like the movie game we play in the car) I'm just not connecting. "But this time she only smiled..." What's the deal? Am I dense for not getting it?
"But this time she only smiled."
OK, I finally got the reference. What an Idiot am I...
I actually screamed out loud when it came to me, partly from joy at actually remembering the line, and partly from agony at posting my ignorance here in the first place.
Good, sweet reference. Just obscure enough to be challenging, but ultimatley solvable for the true fan.
Keep the blog going. It's the only way we tend to communicate.
