I just received an $1,100 scholarship from the English department--a scholarship I didn't apply for.
In other words, I just got a crapload of money for doing nothing.
I often joke about how I deserve that, but I didn't think it would actually happen.
My head a-splode.

I sure hope it wasn't for proper grammar.. Haha, just kidding. Congrats.
I found nothing wrong with that grammar. Then again I ain't doing so hot in Freshman Comp. Oh well.
I'm conflicted on the grammar. At first, I was impressed that you used "an" before the word "eleven-hundred". Very Proper. Then you had to go and spoil the ride by ending your sentence with a preposition.

Being an complusive obsesive person I am, the Bannana links, as you call them are quite impressive. It makes me feel in control. oh! gotta go straighten some stuff on my desk.
