Lonely Bench

The Bemidji State iMovie film festival will be held on March 24 this year. My friends and I are submitting The Altar, the Immigrant Song music video, and possibly a five minute segment of this movie (if we ever get it done).

I'm a little worried about participation this year though. The only advertisement I've seen for the film fest was one small black and white flyer on the backside of a pillar in the union. And the only reason I saw it was because I ducked behind the pillar to avoid Projecto and his lackeys. (I was afraid they were going to sign me back up for the unmentionable class *shudder*.)

That's it, man. One little flyer.

But I'll give the film fest people the benefit of the doubt. Maybe they did some intensive advertising research. Maybe they found that an extraordinary number of students hide behind that particularly pillar. And maybe they sent Projecto to wander around up there for the expressed purpose of getting students to hide and see the flyer.

But if their ploy somehow doesn't work, and the word doesn't get out, it's going to be a lonely film fest this year.

In fact, the only films submitted might be the three listed above, making them the only ones eligible to win the three cash prizes.

Hmmm.

Excuse me while I go tear down a flyer.

As far as audience participation, the delegation from Hibbing plans to take full advantage of the numbers and clean up on sweet door prizes.

Mugs, T-Shirts, Free Massages.

Tear down that poster, dude...

Perhaps someone else had the same plan you did but chose not to tear down the one flier or forgot one. Get your own idea man. Someone thought long and hard over that plan. but that particularly pillar sure must make for some pillarish fun.
