Wasting Days

Both of my classes were cancelled today.

That's normally a good thing--it frees me up to play snow football, or work on a video, or a read ten books.

But today it wasn't a good thing. Today I wasted a No-classes Day.

Wasting a No-classes Day is definitely more serious than wasting a Saturday, though not as egregious as wasting a Snow Day.

What do I mean by "wasting days"?

Oh, come on. You know what it means, though it's different for every person.

For some, wasting a day means sitting around all day in your underpants, watching cartoons, and eating cereal. For others, wasting a day means not sitting around all day in your underpants, watching cartoons, and eating cereal.

Cereals I like:

  1. Cocoa Puffs
  2. Cap'n Crunch (peanut butter and, to a lesser extent, crunch berries)
  3. Lucky Charms
  4. Generic, enormous zip locked family-sized bag of Cocoa Crispies (guaranteed to outlast at least six gallons of milk)
  5. And, if I'm feeling particularly health-conscious, Cocoa Puffs with fresh strawberries

So anyway, I wasted a day. But it's not really a big deal, is it? And if it is, at least I still have a chance at redemption. It's only 6:15, and I've got about five hours left to make something of this day.

So it's time to toss aside the cereal bowls, throw on some pants, make some Banquet chicken, tidy up the room, and plop down with the remote for some reality TV.

(Here is the antithesis of this post, along with the inspiration for its title.)
