Many a Truf

Well, I actually did end up watching reality TV.

I feel so dirty.

Yesterday, in an effort to make a joke, I started droning on about salvaging the day, and then at the end proclaimed that I was going to spend the evening watching reality TV--the most useless activity that came to mind.

Well, that's why I coined the expression, "Many a truth is said in jest."

The guilty party was The Apprentice.

A few weeks ago, I told myself that I wouldn't watch that show anymore on the grounds that it sucked and I hated it.

But there I was, sitting in my room on a Thursday night, with nothing to do (no papers I could be writing, no books I could be reading, no football I could be playing, no walks I could be taking, no friends I could be pranking, heck, as a last resort, no video games I could be playing). So, with absolutely nothing to do, I turned to my old nemesis, Television.

At first, there was some promise. FX was in the middle of a King of the Hill marathon. But as I tuned in, I noticed that they were showing all the episodes I'd seen a billion times (well, at least enough times to ace TV guide's King of the Hill quiz).

So I flipped away to The Apprentice.

And then I remembered why I hate it so much. I sat there for the entire hour and remembered why I hated it.

I watched it with my friend Drew, and then afterwards, we talked about how much we hated it.

Then we talked about how much next week's episode will suck.

Of course, there's only one way to find out...

I only got 80% on the quiz, but it's 5:30, FOX is on, so I think I'll do some studying.

And yeah...The Apprentice may very well be the biggest Saeson 1 to Season 2 Shark Jumping EVER.
