Stupid

That stupid television is always on just to my left (in this case, it's Yankees / Red Sox game 2. Pedro's pitching, so I'm waiting to see if old man Zimmer comes flying out of the stands looking for a face-plant). And, because that stupid thing is always on just to my left, I'm always seeing or hearing stupid things.

For instance, (though this is probably old news to most of you) I just heard a commercial with a voice-over saying, "There is a power, so incredible, so irresistible, that you'll do anything to get your hands on it."

And I'm over in my chair thinking, "All right, I bet it's something awesome, like a Nerf Bow 'n' Arrow that shoots cheeseburgers."

Of course, as you all know, that guy was actually talking about Gillette's latest razor with something like 50 blades--a razor that probably looks just like this.

Yeah. Awesome.

I really think I'm too depressed now to go on.
