Football, yeah?

Game three of the flag football season was a fartbreaker.

We played solid defense and gained lots of yards on the other side of the ball. But, like the first game, it all came down to one play at the end.

We were up by one point, and the other team had time to only run one more play. They were at our ten yard line, but we weren't too worried, because we'd been stuffing them all day in the red zone.

They snapped the ball, and one of our linemen got quickly to the quarterback and had him by the waist. He was pulling frantically for the quarterback's flags, but they would not come off. He eventually snagged them, but not before the quarterback through up a prayer to the back corner of the endzone, which, of course, was caught.

Dang.

Well, we have two more games this week, and we intend to absolutely crush the competition.

After all, it's of the utmost importance to crush your opponents in intramural flag football, just like it is in fantasy football, backyard football, paper football, thinking man's football, and yes, electric football.

Whew, have fun with that.
