Feeling it out

It seems like all I ever talk about is football, bees, and Lando (not in any particular order).

The problem is, you can already get good football information on the web by going to sites like NFL.com and ESPN.com. The only unique football information I provide is about my college intramural flag football league. And if you're coming to my site to read about that (and you're not related to me or anything) then you either really love reading about flag football (doubtful) or you're on the team we're playing for the championship on Monday, and you want to see if I hint at any team strategies (highly probable).

So, for obvious reasons, I'm not going to be speaking much about flag football anymore--at least not 'till Monday evening. And then probably never again.

So that means I should talk about bees, right? This one's a little more murky. You see, the bee is, by far, nature's boringest creature. The only way I can ever bring myself to write about them is when I make up ludicrously false statements about them. (Today me and a couple bees went to Wal-Mart. We bought some Banquet chicken. One of the bees wanted me to buy him a super ball on the way out, but I didn't have a quarter. So he kicked me in the shin.)

Hey, I just thought of something. (Actually, I probably thought of it about five minutes ago, but comparatively, that's pretty good. Usually when I say, "Hey, I just thought of something," I've been thinking about it for, at the very least, a week.)

How does Applebees get any business?

I mean, I find myself supporting the restaurant (I just went there last night, in fact) but I guess I've never given much thought to the name until now. "Apple-bees"--it combines a fruit I'm indifferent about at best, and a creature that I hate beyond reason. So why do I eat at Applebees instead of burning the place to the ground?

But, now that I think about it, why do I love McDonald's? Is it because of wonderful feelings I have for my former high school basketball coach? Or maybe it's the Big Macs. Plus I like the lemonade flavors at Applebe--that "Apple" place. (Just cause I like the food, doesn't mean I have to like the name. And why didn't I just say that three paragraphs ago? I'll tell you--because these posts have been pitifully short as of late. You, my faithful reader, deserve to have much more of your time wasted. I'm trying to oblige.)

And lastly, Lando. I've realized it's really no good to talk much about Lando, because Lando and I have a unique relationship that few understand and would be very difficult to explain.

It's a relationship that goes far beyond amateur tribute sites like this (although it is pretty cool).

So if I am to maintain any interest in this site, Lando will probably have to be put on the backshelf as well.

But what does that leave me to talk about?

My feelings?

*shudder*

What should I talk about? Well, I already told you what to talk about! (See previous comment.) As much as I love Lando (really, I do . . . seriously), I do believe there are plenty of other topics on which a blog could be blogged. I bet my mullet no one will read this comment.
