Doodles

I was filling my notebook with doodles today, as is my sitting in literature class ritual, when I came to a conclusion--all my doodles were grotesque.

The people, the shapes, and even the buildings were all pitifully ugly.

Upon noticing this, I began flipping through my notebook, looking at page after page of previous doodles. After scouring the notebook, I found a select few sketches that weren't exactly hard on the eyes, but for every normal looking doodle, I found literally hundreds of hideous ones.

Why is that? Why is beauty so difficult to draw, but ugliness comes so easy?

Is it human nature?

Is it our inherent desire to be evil rather than good?

Or maybe I'm just a crummy artist.
