Tough Call

I was driving from McDonald's today after picking up a double cheeseburger meal to munch on while watching the Viking's game (Vikings 27, Bears 22) when a bee flew in through the window.

(No, wise guy, not through the window itself--it was rolled down.)

It landed on my turn signal lever thing, and it would not leave--despite my tactics of patiently waiting for it to fly away. Fortunately, I was able to drive straight for most of the way, but eventually, I was forced into making a tough decision.

With my right turn approaching, I could either signal for it and risk angering the bee, or I could not signal for it and risk a car wreck.

Naturally, I risked the car wreck. I quickly pulled into the parking lot, and in doing so, hit a bump that shook the entire steering column.

I looked at the bee in horror as it stepped off the turn signal thingy and lazily flew out the window.

You never can tell with bees.
